Jürgen Reiter and Peter Schönhofen, two young students at the University of Trier, developed an idea around modern, unusual and authentic furniture. This idea gave birth to the world famous German brand Kare Design. Their idea of trendy and unique furniture emerged during their research to furnish their shared apartment. Of course they were completely unaware of the magnitude their project will take.

The brand has continued to develop since 1981, maintaining its headquarters in Germany in Garching. Kare Design has more than 100 stores located in 50 countries. Currently Kare Design offers more than 5000 products to suit every design need of their clients.

One of its stores: Kare Kraftwerk was awarded by the German Retail Association with the “Store of the Year” award. A German brand that is committed to helping underprivileged children. Kare Design lands into the associative field by helping disadvantaged children and young people through the association “Artists for Kids e.V”. This association supports young people in their schooling and professional projects and organizes sports practices and creative projects.
